How to use
You can cold brew pretty much any type of tea. We recommend about 15g of the tea for 750ml bottle and 6g for 300ml bottle. The taste of your first brew will be an indicator of whether you prefer less or more, more gentle or stronger tea. We usually leave it in the fridge overnight but it can be consumed already after 4-6 hours.
Cold brew effect on leaves
By longer and cold extraction you preserve more antioxidants, vitamin C and B of your tea.
The amount of theanine which produces desired umami stays the same, while astringency (catechin) and bitterness (caffeine) are reduced.
So if you're trying to cut back on caffeine, cold brew is the way to go! The coffeine percentage is about half of the one extracted with hot water.
