Frequently asked questions
1. Choose Your Tea Type: Begin by exploring the different types of Japanese tea. Our current options are: hojicha, genmaicha, sencha, matcha. Learn about each one on its product page here
2. Invest in Quality Teaware: A good teapot and cups enhance your tea-drinking experience. Consider a kyusu (Japanese teapot) and some cute little cups for loose-leaf tea, along with a matcha bowl and whisk/chashaku for making matcha.
3. Learn the Brewing Process: Each tea has its ideal brewing temperature and time. For example, sencha is best brewed at about 70-80°C (158-176°F) for 1-2 minutes. Follow our instructions for each tea or experiment to find what you enjoy most.
4. Savor the Experience: Take your time to enjoy each sip. Pay attention to the flavors, aromas, and colors, allowing the ritual of tea to become a moment of mindfulness in your day.
